Took me quite the while, have made some serious changes in between, at first i wanted hher in a jungle, but my plants vomited on the image, so i deleted them:3

Please tell me what you think!
(and how to make this available for critiques... cant seem to find that option

Time: +1 15 hrs
Software: PS CS5

EDIT 26-11-12
I added reflectionish things to the water, and i changed the water color to something more natural. also i changed the atmosphere and removed the superweird rock behind all. it's way better now:3

EDIT 6 - 12 - 12
I furred her up^^ the shading and texturing is now better:3

Also i'd love to have this corrected by :iconimprovement-club:!!

I love the whole concept and the way it's colored but i think you should have tried some more light in the water. Also the way the cat is looking at the person outside the painting is a bit weird, as in, he looks like he wants to almost eat ya.
All in all i do love it, the background, the rocks, the water and all.

First the good things about this drawing:
:bulletgreen: Whew.. what a nice cat! really like the colors and background.
:bulletgreen: Don't know if the background's a picture or also drawn, but you sure know how to use Photoshop! Well done!

Things you could improve:
:bulletred: The outerlines of the cat are very smooth, maybe a little too smooth. Maybe it was better to give the cat more fuzziness. Because now it looks a bit like a cat who is really well painted, instead of a cat with just a beautiful coat. Again, the stripe pattern is great, but it seems to hide the hair effect underneath it. Try to use the hairy effect also in the stripes.
:bulletred: Shading with an Airbrush effect is also quite dangerous to do when you want your creature to look hairy. Airbrush is just too smooth. It's better to use another brush so the hairy effect won't become invisible. It's also a good idea to shade in the same direction as the hair goes.

But i really like this drawing, you did a pretty good job!
